How do I install it securely?
Installing the PetAllure™ Dog Car Seat Cover is quick and straightforward:
Prepare the cover – Lay it flat with the orange tabs facing up. Unzip the section along the crease of the seat base on the side with the mesh window. Insert the three white support boards into their slots, then zip it closed.
Position in your car – Place the cover across all seat cushions with the non-slip side facing down and the mesh window flap lined up between the two front seats. Line up the velcro seatbelt openings with your car’s buckles so you can secure your dog with a harness if needed, or keep them closed when not in use.
Secure the back section – Lift the back flap to cover the seatbacks. Loop the straps around the rear headrests, buckle, and tighten until the cover sits firmly in place.
Anchor the base – Push the anchor handles (at the bottom of the back flap) deep into the crease where the seat cushion meets the backrest. This prevents the cover from shifting when your dog moves or when the car brakes or turns.
Attach the front section – Raise the front flap with the mesh window against the back of the front seats. Wrap the straps around the front headrests, buckle, and tighten as in step two.
Raise the side flaps – Use the zipper on the sides of each flap to zip them up, then use the included straps to clip one end of it to one of the flap’s metal rings, loop the other end of the strap through your car’s ceiling grab handle, and then clip it to the second ring, adjusting the strap’s slider so the flap stays upright.
